Las Vegas Boards and Commissions
Las Vegas Centennial Commission
The Centennial Commission plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements the activities, celebration and education associated with the City of Las Vegas’ Centennial.
Consists of a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 15 members appointed by the City Council.
Planning Commission
Makes recommendations to the City Council on city's Master Plan, zonings and other related issues, and makes final decisions on subdivision maps.
Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.

Traffic and Parking Commission
Makes recommendations on matters dealing with traffic and parking such as speed hump requests and changes in speed limits on city streets.
Meets in accordance with a meeting schedule adopted as part of the Rules and Regulations pursuant to 2.48.050, City Hall Council Chambers (Ord 6049)
Note: November and December meetings are combined on 2nd Thursday of December.
Historic Preservation Commission
Oversees preservation activities in the city for buildings, structures and places of historical and architectural significance.
Reviews historic designation applications to National Register of Historic Places and city of Las Vegas Historic Property Register.
Meets every 4th Wednesday of the month at noon.
Community Development Recommending Board
Reviews all Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships applications for funding and makes recommendations to the City Council on those applicants that should receive funding.
Meets on an as needed basis.
Citizens Priority Advisory Committee (CPAC)
Reviews the city of Las Vegas budget and submits recommendations to the city manager and City Council.
Meets as determined by the finance director.
Citizen Review Board
The Citizen Review Board was established for the purpose of receiving and investigating complaints of misconduct by peace officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in the performance of their duties.
Board of Civil Service Trustees
Makes final decisions in regard to matters pertaining to the Civil Service Merit System of employment.
Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30 pm.
Audit Oversight Committee
Reviews and evaluates public reports, evaluates the general effectiveness of the audit program, discusses potential audit assignments, and oversees and reinforces compliance to the city's internal audit policy.
Consists of 5 members appointed by the mayor. Two are City Council members and three are members of the community.
Meets not less than once per quarter.
Arts Commission
Relates to the total cultural well-being of the city in matters related to the arts.
Meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

Committees and Programs
The Art in Public Places Committee develops new art projects, conducts site selection and evaluates submitted proposals for art projects.
The Public/Private Liaison Committee works with the private sector to encourage the inclusion of art into projects and advises on artist selection.
The Education Committee develops community forums and outreach programs and also provides speakers for organizations, community and school groups interested in learning more about public art.
Arts Commission programs include Request for Proposals for Public Art Projects, Local and National Artist Registries, Special Local and National Projects, Speakers Bureau and City Department Collaborative Projects.
Las Vegas Housing Authority
Assists with the administration and operation of federal housing projects within the city.
Neighborhood Partners Fund Board
Reviews Neighborhood Partners Fund applications and recommends awards to the City Council.
